Resumen
This research aims to design a gastronomic path for the promotion of the tourism in Chunchi Town in Chimborazo Province. It has an emphasis on the typical food of the town to keep its gastronomic identity and make it known for its attractions and promote tourism at the same time. It is recommended to continue promoting its gastronomy, creating a variety of sources of information, such as the present gastronomic path design to promote interest and constantly inform the visitor of this beautiful place in the province of Chimborazo. It is named as beautiful, because of this typical food, traditions, culture and tourist attractions within the urban town. Chunchi is really welcoming, especially by its native people same as in its rural villages. It is a place where you will always want to come back and share with your loved ones. The desing of the gastronomic path was based on a preliminary diagnosis, followed by a study of the typical dishes and touristic sites. The central objective of designing a gastronomic path for this destination was to contribute to the tourism development of the Chunchi Canton.
