Resumen
The technical proposal for the corrective maintenance and improvement for the main generator group from the Mobil concrete mixer plant and alternate generator for Depohormigón Enterprise, of Ambato city. It had as an objective to determine the state of the asset with the aim of solving the inconvenient in a mechanical and electrical level in order to develop an operation and maintenance manual to prevent future damage. The project started in a technical, electrical, and mechanical evaluation that was structured with qualitative field information due to that one of the main detected problems in the plant was that the maintenance tasks were carried out empirically. There was no one register of news. The evaluation reveled that the maintenance management of the asset had been neglected or was non-existent. The decision making for its maintenance was done taking into account as a reference the critical analysis that let to identify in a quantitative way the failures that were present in the asset, its effects, possible causes, and occurrence level, as well as the decision of the representatives of Depohormigón for the investment in the spare parts. It was done the redesign of the control panel, the major repair of the engine, and the maintenance of the generator to guarantee the functionality of the asset to generate electrical energy for the concrete mixer. Finally, it was developed a maintenance plan for the enterprise to avoid these problems with the machinery which motivate mainly to give the importance that the maintenance tasks require.
