Resumen
The aim of this work was to carry out an experimental study of the physical and spectroscopic properties of graphene-based nanomaterials. For this purpose, it was necessary to obtain several samples of graphene-based nanomaterials from graphite and exfoliate them with organic solvents and aqueous solutions to obtain graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) samples. Once these products were obtained, using Cheng's modified method, the samples were chemically reduced to obtain graphene. The identification of this product in the samples was carried out by means of a series of analyses such as: UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy. These methods allowed to detect the presence of graphene in the prepared samples and to analyse the physical and spectroscopic properties. As a result of the experimentation, the graphene-based nanomaterials were free of basal and edge defects, which were verified by Raman measurements, confirming the presence of few layers in their morphology and a good quality of each nanomaterial and it is concluded that the analysed samples possess exceptional physical characteristics such as resistance, morphology, electrical conduction, and the spectroscopic properties clearly define the differences between each nanomaterial. It is recommended for this type of research that all the processes involved in obtaining the samples are carried out meticulously to avoid the presence of traces of the raw materials to obtain clean samples and reliable data in the spectroscopic analysis.
