Resumen
An industrial water treatment system was designed for the Inter-Community Spinning Plant in Salinas, Bolívar province in order to avoid contamination to the Salinas River and comply with the permissible limits established in the current TULSMA environmental regulations. For this project, the industrial water collection and discharge site was recognized. Subsequently, the effluent flow was determined by the volumetric method, and indispensable samples and data were obtained. Then, physical-chemical and bacteriological characterizations were carried out, which provided a percentage above the values of the norm such as: Ba 52%, Cl 84%, COD 43%, Escherichia Coli 93%, F 40%, P 56%, Fe 82%, Mn 34%, N 95%, TSS 96% and surfactants 24%. With the obtained results, the treatability tests were applied to determine the treatment processes, through which removal percentages of Ba 93.95%, Cl 87.60%, COD 97.42%, Escherichia Coli 100%, F 97 were obtained, 96%, P 98.78%, Fe 99.38, Mn 99.4%, N 90.26%, SST 33.42% and surfactants 99.56%. With the determination of these variables, a pilot plant was designed with viable processes for the purification of industrial water. It is concluded by sizing the unit operations of the system, which consists of inlet channel, grids, storage tank, agitation tank, primary circular sedimentor, gravel and anthracite filter, and the disinfection tank, which guarantee compliance with the permissible limits stipulated in the standard of the Unified Text of Environmental Legislation. It is recommended that Inter-Community Spinning Salinas implements the treatment system for the management and control of contamination of industrial effluents discharged into the Salinas River.
