Resumen
This document is based on the "Preventive management of ergonomic risks through REBA and OCRA methods in the slaughterhouse of the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of Lago Agrio to improve the health of workers", avoiding injuries to the workers. On the one hand, the direct observation with constant visits to the slaughterhouse, the collection of information by means of the Kuorinka Nordic questionnaire and the evaluation with the GTC 45 matrix at each work station of the two slaughter lines were necessary in order to identify and mitigate the risks of the municipal slaughterhouse. On the other hand, with the help of the Nordic Kuorinka questionnaire and the GTC 45 matrix, ergonomic risks were identified and assessed according to the guidelines of NTP 601 (REBA - Rapid Entire Body Assessment) and NTP 629 (OCRA) in order to establish respective improvements in decision making with regard to accident prevention and long or short term health effects. By means of the REBA method, it was determined that 11 out of 23 workstations in the bovine line presented complications, 48% of which were forced postures and inadequate positions, in contrast to the swine line, where 3 out of 14 workstations presented the same complications, representing 22%. The OCRA method helped to assess repetitive movements in 6 out of 23 workplaces for cattle slaughtering, representing 26%, and 3 out of 14 workplaces for porcine, representing 22% repetitive movements. The methods were correctly applied in the evaluation of the risks per workstation, due to the fact that when comparing the manual evaluations with the results obtained in the Ergosoft pro software, the risk levels are similar. It is recommended to socialize the CMLA-MPE-BP-M001 manual with the workers as well as its control by the management, taking into account that its main function is to mitigate ergonomic risks.
