Resumen
Sumatex textile factory has sold fine lingerie in Ecuador and it is interested in exporting its goods to Caracas – Venezuela, because it is possible to sell a lot of its textile products in that market place. This research has been carried out to design a project to export fine lingerie from sumatex factory in Riobamba to Caracas, and determine its feasibility and profitability.
This project was based on market intelligences which were analyzed at domestic and international levels, as well as textile Sumatex factory production. It was taken into account that Venezuela is a developed country, and its economic condition is one of the strongest in South America, therefore Sumatex can export and sell its goods there. Results showed that if you want to start a textile business to export lingerie, you will need to invest about $10.000.000. It is not required to make investments on fixed assets because Sumatex equipments and the current capacity company will be used; and only need to increase its capital. It is expected to sell $ 78.234.000 in the first year and get 35.4% of Return Internal Rate. Conclusions showed that implementing an export business to Venezuela will be a good choice for any Ecuadorian entrepreneur and it will provide economic development and employment prospects. Recommendations include that starting an export business will be a good choice for businessmen and entrepreneurs.
