Resumen
The present research project was developed in a pre- muffler and muffler of the Ztye T600 vehicle assembled by CIAUTO in Ambato city, an analysis of computational fluid dynamics and acoustic through computer aided engineering with the software ANSYS CFX and ANSYS Act respectively. First of all, the geometry was generated by means of the lifting of plans and 3D scanning with the help of SpaceClaim CAD software. The input parameters for the simulations such as speed, temperatura and speed of the motor turn correspond to values collected by means of suitable measuring instruments, in versions 1.5T and 2.0T of the vehicle. Secondly, the CFD simulation was performed in ANSYS CFX since it is the most complete ANSYS solver in heat transfer in fluid-solid interface to analyze. According to the results obtained in the muffler, several design alternatives were proposed, the same ones that were evaluated in their operation and selected two of them, compared with the original by means of the CFD and the transmission loss graph, determining in this way the advantages and disadtantages of the alternatives. It was observed in the acoustic simulation with respect to the transmission loss graph that there is no significant difference between the original design and the alternatives, as a consequence. As a result of this it was concluded that the alternatives produce a benefit without a significant increase in the noise produced by the combustion of the engine. It should be noted that the generation and evaluation of alternatives using CAE software does not replace the experimental tests which must be carried out, however it helps to simplify the prototyping process.
