Resumen
The present investigation had the purpose of conducting a semiotic study of the pictograms that possesses the culture Quichua of the Misahualli port parish located in the Napo province , therefore, it is pretended to know that much of the inhabitants of said Parish on pictograms of the Quichua culture, for which, characteristic data were gathered from their customs and traditions, which until today are maintained, however, certain characteristics as their dress; it had a change to adapt to the current society, in addition, according to the Plan of Development and Territorial Organization (PDTO) of said parish, the majority of the inhabitants were indigenous belonging to the Quichua culture. For this study it used the deductive hypothetical method, in order to study the characteristics that had the pictograms of the culture, in addition, it used the research tools such as the interview, which allowed us to delveped into the body and ceramic pictograms that this culture had. In addition, an observation form was made that compiled the photographs of the pictograms with their respective description and representation, where, the pictograms in their ceramics, were petroglyphs that as the Quichuas identified them, it was giving their own meaning, while that, body symbology, had abstractions of animals and elements of nature, which were considered important in the rituals and ceremonies that this culture had, after obtaining this information, a survey was conducted to the residents of said parish to determine the knowledge that it had about the pictograms, in which, it was determined that, although the majority were indigenous and claimed to know the Quichua culture, it was knowing the pictograms that it possesses, besides, it was affirmed that this ancestral knowledge is being lost, beyond if it accepted that it is acculturated, there is a lack of interest on the part of young Quechua.
