Resumen
This main objective of the current research work was to evaluate the lipolytic and proteolytic activity of bacteria in the hot springs of the Ilinizas, located in the Cotopaxi Province. For this purpose, three representative samples from each of the five hot springs chosen were taken, besides a simple compound for the preparation of culture media. The pH and the temperature were analyzed in situ at each simple point. Simultaneously, distilled water and more thermal water were plated with PCA medium doing a counting of the bacterial colonies inoculated at 30 ºC every 24 hours. It selected 48 bacterial colonies and repeated three times until getting their stabilization. It made enzymatic degradation tests in the PCA media adding skim milk, PCA with butter and PCA with olive oil, which were prepared in thermal water and distilled water identifying those bacterial isolates capable of degrading tributyrin and casein. On the other hand, it determined the enzymatic power index lypolytic, as well as proteolytic of the bacterial isolates identified above; for which used the PCA media with skim milk and modified butter. It made gram stain 100 bacterial clones and ten representative clones of each thermal source were isolated which presented the highest power index. Biochemical test was used to identify the then isolated bacterial clones, which correspond of the following genera: Haemophilus, Proteus, Gardnerella, Plesiomonas, Psychrobacter, Campylobacter and Micrococcus. Finally, as a recommendation in the taking of samples, ensure no affect the site or sampling area in the order to make each simple representative of the place.
