Resumen
The present investigation proposcs: to predict the conservation condition of the herbaccous plant formation of the moor in the Riobamba and Colta cantons of the Chimborazo province; where: a) this formation was ecologically characterized with parameters such as location, physical and chemical characteristics, flora and fauna and threats, whcre it was determined that in the Riobamba canton that formation represents 22.44% of the canton and has 1.44% deforestation with respect to the total of the formation and the Colta canton represents 32.20% of the canton and 1, 06% of the formation presents deforestation; b) the condition of conservation of the grassland formation of the moor in the two-stage cantons was determined, the condition of conservation by site with the relationship (FN+ FN+ S (ABS+ MO/ 2)/3-(P+ FP /2)),where the data were technical on site and the soil data were analyzed in the laboratory, which obtaincd good conservation condition results, moderate and low, the conservation condition per canton was determined with the Random Forest algorithm where satellite images were corrected and the calculation of five spectral indexes NDVI, NDWI, EVI2, SAVI and WDRI was performed with results of 93.05% of the reliability of the Riobamba canton and 92.66% of the Colta canton where it is concluded that in both cantons the grassland formation of the moorland is in the process of deterioration and c) guidelines were formulated for the conservation of that formation with the adapted methodology of PCA where direct and indircct threats were analyzed in the field, guidelines were forinulated for these threats and finally 1 program was generated for each canton and 5 projects over a period of 6 years with a budget of $ 170,800.00 USD.
