Resumen
The objective of the present work of investigation was to develop a fusion tool of medical images SPECT/CT and an application of internal dosimetry to measure the absorbed doses in patients of the Carlos Andrade Marin Hospital (HCAM). In doing so it was elaborated a graphical interface (GUIDE) in MATLAB the algorithms of implemented fusion were: Simple fusion of images (Simple Average, Maximum Value, Minimum Value, Principal Component Analysis), Fusion based in the Pyramidal Decomposition (Gaussian Pyramid, Laplacian Pyramid, Contrast Pyramid, Morphological Pyramid), and Fusion based in the discrete transformed of Wavelet (Discrete Wavelet Transform, Method of Wavelet Invariant to Movement), evaluated through different sizes of quality of image (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio, Mean Square Error, Average Difference, Maximum Difference, Normalized Absolute Error, Normalized Cross Correlation, and Structural Content) . It was used brain, pelvic and pulmonary images originated in diverse radiological technologies (SPECT and CT) and related to the same cut of the patient. Also, it was made a link between MATLAB and EXCEL to connect the data of the values of media doses for accumulated activity and the activity injected through an algorithm of internal dosimetry, being contrasted by means of preexisting examples. Two computational tools were obtained: the first for the fusion
of SPECT/CT suitable for the enhancement in the quality in the diagnostic per image, and the second for the acquisition of the fraction of absorbed dose of radioisotope on oncological patients. Finally, it was recommended it to develop a study with the acquisition of medical images of another source: PET/CT for the strengthening of the quality in the diagnostic in the area of molecular nuclear medicine.
