dc.description.abstract | This investigation proposes to determine the zones of existence of gold anomalies with the application of geochemical prospection of gold through manual soundings in alluvial terraces of Pastaza river, Kunkuk community in Pastaza province. The final result of this project is a map of anomalies in the variation of the geographic geochemical distribution corresponding to the area of study obtained after the application of testing analytical technique of modified Lepeltier method, which is applied to all the collected data. The modified Lepeltier method determines anomalous values to an element such as the Background which is the equivalent to the arithmetic mean. Threshold is equal to the sum of the arithmetic mean plus the standard deviation, the Sub-anomaly is equal to the sum of two standard deviations plus the average arithmetic and the defined Anomaly is equal to four standard deviations plus the arithmetic mean. In addition, four maps were developed, the location map, the hydrographic map, the geological map and the location map of the samples. The anomalies map was constructed to represent the areas with the highest concentration of gold anomalies in the study area. It is concluded that the zones; the first to the northeast and the second to the southwest have anomalies of 0.2469 ppm, which shows that in the study area there are areas of gold concentration in alluvial terraces.
