Resumen
The objective of this research was to analyse the impact of low dose ionizing radiation on occupationally exposed personnel. A simulation was developed in Matlab using bimonthly dosimetric data from some Institutions, and by means of a polynomial adjustment by means of least squares as a function of the sum of the data of the accumulated doses per year, a curve with the relation between accumulated dose - year was obtained. This curve allows visualizing the graph of each degree of the polynomial because it analyses the data with the smallest distance to the adjustment graph, resulting in a first-degree equation. In addition, a user interface or graphical user interface (GUI) was created in Matlab, which allows easier control of the information. As a result, at a cumulative dose of 78.99 mSv during 50 years of work, the most probable effect is diseases related to the brain, heart, and chromosomal alterations. While at a dose of 110.53 mSv for 70 years there may be effects with a much higher risk factor. It is suggested that occupationally exposed personnel be continuously alerted to stochastic or probabilistic effects in the future.
