Resumen
The present research work was aimed for studying the adaptation and yield of 10 varieties from tomato kidney (Solanum lycopersicum L) under greenhouse, in Riobamba canton, province of Chimborazo A randomized complete block design was performed with 10 treatments and 3 repetitions. Parameters were evaluated such as: height of the plant, number of leaves, diameter of stem, days to flowering, weight of fruits per bunch, days to harvest, days to the counter, yield kg / ha and economic analysis was carried out by means of the cost benefit ratio. The best result for number of leaves presented the variety EXP 004 with an average of 28.50 leaves. For height of the plant the variety EXP 001 with 241.70 cm. For diameter of stem the CLX 002 variety with an average of 14.29 mm. For days to flowering and harvest, the variety Tamaris with averages of 36.13 and 110 days respectively. The varieties that reached the best yields were Tamaris EXP 004 with averages of 136048.37 and 135713.02 kg / ha respectively and finally when performing the economic analysis that presented the highest cost benefit was EXP 004 with a gain of 0.97 dollars for each dollar invested, which is equivalent to 97%. It is recommended from agronomic and economic point of view in canton Riobamba the sowing of variety EXP 004 and Tamaris for presenting good morphological characteristics, better performance and profitability.
