Resumen
The present investigation proposes: to evaluate the efficiency of four insecticides, for the control of thrips (Frankliniella accidentalis), in the cultivation of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) in post harvest, parish of Alaquez province of Cotopaxi, a design was used completely random (DCA) trifactorial, parameters such as; phytotoxicity of the insecticides, calculation of the effectiveness of the products, vase day, flower quality, re-entry period, degree of toxicity of the products and economic analysis was carried out according to the benefit-cost ratio. The treatments in which I use the low and medium dose showed a low phytotoxicity. While the highest efficiency has the Bullet insecticide used with the Immersion method with 98.11%. The longest duration in vase days was 21.67 days with the treatment Bullet x Nebulization x average dose. A high quality classified as an export flower was obtained by most of the treatments in which a low and medium dose was used. In the parameters of re-entry period and degree of toxicity of the products, an analysis of variance could not be made due to that the results were similar in each of the treatments. The best profitability has the Bullet x Immersion treatment x low dose with a cost benefit ratio of 1.98%. The highest efficiency in the control of thrips (Frankliniella accidentalis) obtained the insecticide Bullet (A1) with 80.56% and the lowest efficiency I reach Epingle with 59.33%. It is recommended to apply the treatment T2 (bullet x immersion x medium dose (0.4 cc / l)) to control thrips after harvest since it was the one that obtained the highest percentage of control, the lowest phytotoxicity and the lowest cost benefit ratio.
