Resumen
The main objective of the present investigation is to study the competences of the teachers of the School of Engineering in Marketing of the Faculty of Business Administration of ESPOCH. Since previously there has been no such studies within the school for the fulfillment of its objectives. The requirement of the new law of higher education goes through a changing situation regarding the teaching performance, for which a study was made through the tools of Fuzzy Logic, which is the relative Distance of Hamming, this tool is performed by three methods that are Optimal, Ideal and Weighted. With this study it was possible to know the competences with which the teachers who work full-time in the School of Engineering in Marketing count, as well as the competences that have the greatest faults and the interval in which each one of the teachers is located according to the three methods of Hamming Distance. The application of this study within the School of Engineering in Marketing will allow to know periodically what are the competences that each one of the teachers has and which are the competences that have the greatest weakness, since it is necessary to keep up to date with the changes required by law of Higher Education.
