Resumen
The objective of this project is to design a methodology for tuning the PID controllers of the regeneration gas washing process (P3-V05) of the catalytic area II, Esmeraldas refiney. The proposal begins with the compilation of P & ID diagramas (instrumentation and process diagrams) to determine the amount of control loops that exist in the plant. This allows to determine the critical loops that intervene in the drum process P3-V05; between them, the firing loops. Secondly, the control loops that operate in manual mode are determined. The current methodology of operation of the ties that is applied by the operators (experts) is fundamental to define objectives of tuning in the control loops of the system. In addition, the transmitter calibration report, valve calibration report, valve sizing, and the efficiency of the equipment associated with the system are measured. Finally, the model of the MIMO system is obtained, and because the system in non-linear the automatic adjustment of PID control systems in MATLAB is used using transfer functions whose estimation of 85,99%, 82,38% and 84,31% for the variables of water, SOSA and gas, respectively, guarantee an adequate operation of the loop , concluding that the MIMO system model exceeds the current SISO system by a ratio of 3 to 1. It is recommended that the exchangers, pumps and API standards are included in the maintenance program for the design of new pumps.
