The main purpose of this article is to study the mathematical modeling of PN semiconductor devices and the factors that can alter their operation, placing much emphasis on the steps that must be taken into account to obtain the mathematical equations according to the time, in order to understand this better use is made of a mathematical software, in this project the Matlab program is used with its interfaces and Simulink. A research scenario (development of a circuit) is made use of several sensors connected to an Arduino board, using the Guide interface of the Matlab program which will allow to graphically demonstrate the data obtained in the modeling, using the Simulink tool a comparison will also be made between this and the results obtained in the research scenario. In the results obtained and analyzed, it is possible to observe how the temperature plays an important role with respect to the current of saturation of the diode, it was possible to observe the role of mathematical modeling in teaching as a great tool that allows us to understand the behavior of the silicon semiconductor diode.
