Infoxicación durante el confinamiento obligatorio por la pandemia de COVID-19 en Quito

The present investigation was carried out in the city of Quito on the social network Twitter,
where the purpose was to analyze the evolutionary threads of disinformation causing an
infoxication in professional adult users, where enormous amounts of information on
COVID-19 are required, the users analyzed They were 5 professional adults who were
opinion leaders in the first months of the pandemic.
The analyzed accounts show the interest of the Ecuadorian community in using this
platform as a means of dissemination and opinion on day-to-day issues or national and
international trends, therefore, to identify all this information, a content analysis is carried
out where was able to observe the context in which the message arises and develops,
discovers and evidences its latent content through the social network Twitter where news,
data, figures and knowledge about the coronavirus are shared, the information is
complemented with interviews with professional adults who has an understanding of
infoxication through social networks.
The analysis shows that, at a general level, when professional adults shared different
information on Twitter, which was not only focused on COVID-19, it produced an
infoxication both because of the person who publishes and the person who consumes,
because of the variety of information that is posted to the account without properly
managing the search.
