The Design and Application of a Literacy Reeducation Program, through the VAKT
method for students between the ages of 8 and 16 of the first level of basic general
education of the San Patricio Fiscomisional Educational Unit during the 2018-2019
school year, was developed from of the problem, related to the lack of integration of
reading and writing.
The approach in which the literacy reeducation program was developed is based on
the principles of Fernald's VAKT method, which involves four kinesthetic and tactile
visual auditory modalities, that is, it develops under a multisensory look.
The program was developed in three moments, the first; It was the initial evaluation,
which was carried out by applying the following psychometric instruments; Reading
and Writing Analysis Test (TALE) and basic function test.
The second moment was the practical part; in which activities divided into 5 modules
were carried out in which the VAKT method is used for the consolidation of the
literacy process.
At the end of the program, a comparative analysis of the instruments used before and
after the application of the literacy reeducation program was developed, data that
demonstrated achievements in relation to the teaching-learning process.
