Resumen
Feeding a single-phase load with a threephase network generates current and
voltage imbalances in the system,
degrading the utility generator, specially
its mechanical system. A review of the
state of the art shows a renewed interest in
exploring strategies that allow feeding
single-phase loads from three-phase
circuits. All of them involve the use of
power electronics.
This paper studies an entirely different
approach with a different configuration to
load a single-phase generator, keeping its
voltages and currents balanced. There is a
complete description of its operating
principle. A model is proposed and
simulated in Simulink. Results of the
waveforms are shown and discussed, as
well as possible disadvantages of the
topology, when loading with resistive and
lagging power factor impedances.
Finally, a brief list of future works in this
line of research and its relationship with
other publications are presented.
