Resumen
This research presents a noise map of José Maria Aleman street and its surroundings,
this sector belongs to the Eloy Alfaro zonal government, in the sector was found a large influx
of people due to the number of businesses that are located in this known sector of the south of
the capital, also known as the J, the map was made through geographic information systems
(GIS) through the ArcGis program, in conjunction with Google tools such as Google Earth
and Open Street Maps. Additionally, the validation of this map was carried out using the
CadnaA simulation programme by modelling the noise pollution levels in the sector,
providing a tool for the application of current regulations in the capital in terms of noise
pollution control.
The different parameters that were evaluated for the creation of these maps are
strategic noise measurement points which were established according to traffic flow criteria
and hot spot noise, as it was considered one of the most densely populated sectors of the city,
it was taken into account for the study, thus choosing 20 measurement points around the
entire study area.
After the strategic points were chosen, the respective data were taken, tabulated and
averaged in order to create the noise map in the ArcGIs tool and then validated in the CadnaA
program.
