This academic article analyzes the reception about Pepe Le Pew’s cartoon. From comparative perspective on different generations: baby boomers, generation x, millenials and centennials. The objective of this investigation is to compare the perspectives of men and women of the four generations about the cartoon, from a gender perspective. Through the analytical categories of gender roles, romantic love, gender violence and rape culture. This article proposes the reception studies with the methodology qualitative and descriptive. The techniques used in the study are: focus groups and video-elicitation, through the presentation of seven short clicks. As a result, it is evident that baby boomers, millenials and centennials women identify Pepe Le Pew as a harasser, and Penelope as the harassed, they reflect that there is no romance in the plot and that there is gender violence. While baby boomers, millenials and generation x men, for them there is romance and no violence. Therefore, in this investigation has a multidisciplinary approach. Well, in the article includes communication studies and gender studies.
