This academic article is based on the study of the discourse of the newspapers El Comercio and El Telégrafo, about the first year of Supercom's management. The work is also a theoretical review of the most significant academic contributions that make up the study of the analysis of the political discourse of the Ecuadorian press and what effects are generated in society. In this thorough and systematic investigation, the content of the news published by both media is critically examined, the political narrative is analyzed, under what context it was established and what are the political ideologies and interests at stake. The applied work methodologies are qualitative and quantitative. In the same way, it is an article that collects a series of information in order to understand how communication policies were configured in Latin America and Ecuador, likewise, the origin of the Organic Law of Communication of Ecuador and of the Superintendency of Information and Communication.
This article seeks to generate reflection between the relationship between communication and politics and the role of the public and private media.
