Modelo basado en Tic para la eficiencia del Gobierno Corporativo de las empresas públicas y privadas

Abstract

Corporate governance and ICT governance seem to be two dissimilar topics that cannot be aligned, this research seeks, based on a literature review, to present a corporate governance model based on ICT standards to improve strategic alignment, efficiency and governance in public and private companies in Ecuador. Under a quasi-experimental design, with a quantitative approach, applying the deductive method, the model was created based on ISO standards in the management of corporate governance. For its evaluation, the budgetary variations in the investment of an efficient model of a sample of 20 private companies and 5 governmental companies of Ecuador were analyzed, establishing a comparison when migrating from COBIT 5 to SEGOC 2.0, through 5 indicators. As a result, it was obtained that the model obtains a quantitative improvement due to a substantial saving in process execution, thus concluding the effectiveness of processes in a model based on strategies and not on dimensions.
