Resumen
With a large incursion of robotics in the area of distribution to speed up the time of distribution and transport of packages that leads to economic wear and tear, the text presented here focused on the design and implementation of an autonomous robot that is capable of self-positioning and transport light parcels to different destinations within the operations area of LaarCourier.
Based on studies, the main characteristics of the distribution robots that could be added were established. It was decided to incorporate a line follower module, obstacle detector, a web camera and a man-machine graphic interface (HMI), based on the design and development of a mechanical structure previously dimensioned for the electronics used, that is functional in its environment.
As a controlling device, a programming card called LattePanda was used, in which the algorithms of color detection and line follower and obstacle evader were developed, in addition the robot has a unicycle locomotion with differential movement that allows a stable displacement. All the process data were visualized on a Touch screen integrated to the robot.
By means of the field tests using a scale replica of the LaarCourier operations area, the robot was able to meet the specific objectives, and the feasibility of this work could be verified.
