This work proposes an intercultural philosophical and pedagogical perspective from a research in the José Ricardo Chiriboga School, as an intercultural education space. An approach was made with the youth of 2nd BGU, knowing their opinions about interculturality. For this group of young people interculturality is perceived as an interaction between cultures, intercultural education occupying a preponderant role in its formation as social beings and the full development of the capacities of each individual. It was also found that interculturality is a transversal axis in the curricular development in training, in which the pedagogical foundations recognize culture and diversity. The students considered that interculturality is recognized in the practices of festivities that bring them closer to inherited cultural manifestations, so it is necessary to expand the dimension of interculturality in this educational space in the coexistence and in the pedagogical practice in the teaching process -learning.
In addition, the theoretical reference of intercultural education comes from philosophy and in the specific case of Latin America responds to the particular characteristics of its inhabitants and their respective cultures. Through interculturality, coexistence between human beings and respect for the diversity of cultures is promoted from Good Living, so intercultural education is fundamental for inclusion and respect for the other. From the research it is proposed to incorporate intercultural processes from a systemic and holistic perspective in the educational space, thus promoting the coexistence between cultures.
