Resumen
The specific purpose of this degree work is to propose resources and didactic strategies that promote active methodologies in the educational process of the Social Sciences for the eighth year of basic general education. The proposal aims to develop a meaningful teaching process by applying the constructivist model to achieve in the student the ability to be the protagonist of their own learning.
This writing is divided into two sections; In the first section, the theoretical foundation is based on which concepts related to the teaching-learning process, didactics, pedagogical models, social sciences, resources and didactic strategies are proposed; in order to contribute to the knowledge and importance of learning in this area. In the second section of the work, it consists of resources and didactic strategies applied to the constructivist model for learning the topics addressed in the curricular blocks established in the curriculum of the Ministry of Education of Ecuador (2016) for the area of Social Sciences with the purpose of develop the active intervention of students from playful and participatory work.
Finally, from the data obtained in the pre-professional practices carried out in a particular educational unit “STA”; the research findings allowed to determine the need for the implementation of didactic resources and strategies in the teaching process
