Resumen
Power systems are increasingly stressed
due to increased electrical power
consumption due to deregulation of the
electrical power industry and operating
shutdown to its voltage and transient
stability margin. Consequently, these
phenomena have led to a greater risk of
instability to the electrical system (ES)
and to operate within its limits of transient
and voltage stability. To preserve the
safety of the SE, it is necessary to increase
the stability margins and evaluate the
maximum limits of electrical power
transfer. The transmission line switching
(LS) study aims to address issues of
voltage stability before, during and after
switching, transmission line congestion,
optimization of operating costs, analysis
of switching of transmission lines during
multiple contingencies, dynamic
restructuring of the topology of the
electrical transmission network and how
it impacts on the transient stability of the
SE. Therefore, the optimization problem
to be solved is linear mixed integer
(MILP). In addition, continuous power
flows (CPF) are used to evaluate the
maximum transfer capacity in congested
systems due to the switching of
transmission lines. Multiple N - M
contingencies are studied in order to
predict actions necessary to maintain
stability in the SEP.
