Abstract

Due to the growth of renewable energy sources and integration with conventional distribution networks in recent decades, the smart grid concept has been introduced. The smart grid requires resources for the management and transmission of the power flow that are not available in the conventional distribution network. Therefore, there is a need for smart equipment and systems capable of operating with smart grids, which will be responsible for processing, monitoring and controlling distributed generation sources with high efficiency.
