Resumen
Refers to the objectives, rationale, scope, assumptions of this project. Justifying the need to design and build a tube polishing machine that it will meet the needs of the company Indima.
Chapter II
Starts with the study of the machine overall, materials used for the construction thereof, said selected, abrasives and other components of the machine materials.
Chapter III
Design three alternative polishing machine based on need and corresponding demand for the machine, as first alternative is considered a pipe polishing machine with one sanding belt, its respective engine and a desk tubes arises as second option, a polishing machine with two tubes and grinding belts with their respective structure and to avoid vibrations at the time of use, and finally a polishing machine tubes manually. Then the best alternative is selected by the method of weighted criteria.
Chapter IV
Mechanical design of the selected machine is made considering all parts already designed , the forces placed on the rollers , the power you need the machine to overcome the inertia of the pulleys , the selection of pulleys and belts to be used in the transmission . Bearings needed for the machine is selected. The procedure to size and design the axes by force analysis, structural analysis shows that the plate that supports the entire weight of the system is selected correctly. Friction assay was performed in the laboratories of the University in order to obtain the coefficient of friction of the abrasive with the tube.
Chapter V
Shop drawings and process sheets polishing machine tube explaining each of the procedures were performed with the elements of the machine are made. Cost analysis in order to have a conception of the initial investment of the machine is accomplished.
Chapter VI
A maintenance manual is developed in order to ensure smooth operation of the machine. This chapter's findings and recommendations on the design and construction of the machine are also presented.
