Resumen
The present investigation determined the clinical, psychological and social factors related to the lack of adherence to treatment in patients diagnosed with type II diabetes mellitus who attend the Hospital General Docente de Calderón in the period May - June 2021.
Two reagents were applied to diabetic patients who attend the HGDC in order to be able to perform an analysis of the proposed variables, therefore, it is suggested that non-compliance with treatment could be due to: sexual identity, educational level, income monthly economic, employment status, lack of empathy on the part of staff, medication control, emotional affection, number of partners, age, and knowledge index.
These findings confirm lack of adherence to treatment, which warrants preventive and multidisciplinary actions, together with the family, treating and patient environment.
