Resumen
Historically Limón has been the province with the most diverse culture and history in our country.
The combination of all different cultures and unparalleled natural beauties, makes it an outstanding attractive point for national and international tourism.
Despite the fact, through history it has also been the most abandoned province by local and regional governments, which has provoked an increased rate of criminality, violence and unemployment.
Plus, the urgent need for a better quality of education and the necessity of new working opportunities makes it every day more viewable.
For years, the Junta Administrativa Portuaria y de Desarrollo Económico de la Vertiente del Caribe (JAPDEVA) has become the institution in charge of transforming Limón as the main port for the whole country, making it viable for new approaches to entail local people in the business, creating new opportunities and renovating its institution.
Therefore, this project starts from the idea of making the Parque Logístico y de Desarrollo para el Caribe (Logistics Park for Caribbean Development) to cover a necessity of the province and make a real impact with an socioeconomic growth.
The project is structured in five chapters. First it establishes the basics aspects, explaining and justifying its importance. Chapter 2 shows all socioeconomic aspects of the context where the project is going to be made.
Chapter 3 analyzes the terrain and the different physical aspects of the project.
Chapter 4 however, shows the master plan proposal and its management guidelines.
As last, chapter 5 concludes and determines correspondent recommendations.
