Uso de dos protocolos con norgestomet, utilizando valerato de estradiol, gonadotropina sérica de la yegua preñada y la hormona liberadora de las gonadotropinas coriónicas, para la sincronización del ciclo estral en vacas Bos taurus x Bos indicus

Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar el empleo de dos protocolos de sincronización del estro y la ovulación con inseminación artificial a tiempo fijo (I.A.T.F.) en novillas Bos taurus X Bos indicus, en la zona norte de Costa Rica. Se utilizó un total de 80 hembras, de estas se seleccionaron 60, las cuales fueron separadas en dos grupos de 30 animales cada uno, dichas novillas se eligieron de acuerdo a la edad, condición corporal y la palpación rectal de su tracto reproductivo. El protocolo número uno que se utilizó se basó en la aplicación de un implante auricular subcutáneo (Crestar®, Intervet, Holanda) que contiene, 3 mg de norgestomet más la administración intramuscular de 2 ml de una solución oleosa que contiene valerato de estradiol (5 mg) y norgestomet (3 mg) al día cero, al día nueve se retiró el implante y se administró 2,5 ml (500 UI) intramuscular de gonadotropina sérica de la yegua preñada (Folligon®, Intervet, Holanda) y a las 48 horas después se realiza la I.A.T.F. El protocolo número dos que se utilizó fue un implante auricular subcutáneo (Crestar®, Intervet, Holanda) que contiene 3 mg de norgestomet, más la administración intramuscular de 2 ml de una solución oleosa que contiene valerato de estradiol (5 mg) y norgestomet (3 mg), esto al día cero, el retiro del implante se realizó al día nueve y se administró una dosis intramuscular de 2,5 ml (500 UI) de gonadotropina sérica de la yegua preñada (Folligon®, Intervet, Holanda), 48 horas después se realizó la I.A.T.F. y se administró 1 ml por vía intramuscular de la hormona liberadora de las gonadotropinas coriónicas (Fertagyl®, Intervet, Holanda). Se realizó un diagnóstico de gestación por medio de palpación rectal, 60 días después de la I.A.T.F. Posteriormente los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo muestran que el índice de sincronización con el protocolo número uno fue de un 70%, y con el protocolo dos de un 73%. El índice de concepción obtenido con el protocolo número uno fue de un 40% y un 57 % con el número dos, y el índice de preñez fue un 40% con el protocolo número uno y 57% con el número dos.

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the employment of two protocols of synchronization of the estro and the ovulation with artificial insemination in time fix (I.A.T.F.) in heifers Bos taurus X Bos indicus, in the north zone of Costa Rica. The protocol number two that was in use was an ear subcutaneous implant (Crestar, Intervet, Holland) that contains 3 mg of norgestomet, more the intramuscular administration of 2 ml of an oily solution that contains valerato of estradiol (5 mg) and norgestomet (3 mg), this a zero day, the retirement of the implant was realized a nine day and one administered an intramuscular dose of 2,5 ml (500 UI) of gonadotropina sérica of the pregnant mare (Folligon, Intervet, Holland), 48 hours later the I.A.T.F. was realized and 1 managed the affairs ml for intramuscular route of the liberating hormone of the gonadotropinas coriónicas (Fertagyl, Intervet, Holland). A diagnosis of gestation was realized by means of palpación rectal, 60 days after the I.A.T.F. The results obtained in this work show that the index of synchronization with the protocol number one was 70 %, and with the protocol two of 73 %.
