It is a school environment that consists of a series of teaching tasks, and the implementation of a garden task in real time is a goal of arousing the interest of a series of healthy and educational activities. The implementation of the school garden project resembles a living laboratory that provides those involved (students and teachers) the exchange of experiences and interdisciplinarity, facilitating the teaching-learning process It is known that theory and practice are relevant in this process, being configured as a set of factors that favor the development and improvement of skills. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to evaluate the educational contributions of the garden project at school as a teaching-learning instrument and healthy food source for the school community. The research was a qualitative approach, developed at the Antônia Silva Santos State School, located in Mazagão Velho District, Mazagão municipality, Amapá state, involving 8 students of elementary school II from 7th to 9th grade and 7 students of high school from 1st to the 3rd year, totaling 15 students from the institution and a teacher of science and biology. Data collection was performed through field research with questionnaires applied before and after the implementation of the vegetable garden. The systematization and analysis of the obtained data were performed from the synoptic table of answers, with the help of the Microsoft Excel 2010 tool, to create graphs that facilitated and streamlined the discussion. The implementation of the garden in the school environment favors learning and ensures the teacher's commitment to the adoption of innovative teaching practices that strengthen the teaching-learning process. It encourages the inclusion of vegetables in the diet of the entire school community and also contributes to environmental education and teamwork
