The lack of instruments adapted to the Chilean context to measure the adjustment to divorce and separation represents an important constraint to the development of a line of research and intervention focused on the topic of divorce in this particular context. The objective of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of the Psychological Adjustment to Separation Test (PAST) Chilean version, which is divided into two parts that evaluate former partner attachment and lonely negativity (PAST-A) and coparenting conflict (PAST-B). To that end, two independent samples of separated individuals (N = 141
N = 594) were evaluated. From the results obtained, we concluded that the PAST has adequate psychometric properties for its use into the Chilean context. Clinical implications of these findings are discussed.Author Keywords:Divorce
