dc.descriptionA wealth of ecclesial life and pastoral discernment is evident in the synods held in Chile after the Second Vatican Council, including a desire for communion and participation that promises a new way of being Church. There are no academic works that address the synodal activity of the last six decades. As a first effort to contextualize such synodal activity, this article presents the initial findings of research into a corpus of primarily unpublished diocesan texts.
