El hormigón es un material de construcción que ha evolucionado de acuerdo con las necesidades políticas, sociales, económicas y tecnológicas de cada país o región. Debido a las diversas funcionalidades, su impacto social puede adquirir un carácter artístico o histórico a través de los monumentos, esculturas o mobiliario urbano que integran el paisaje construido. Además, es una alternativa que permite materializar pensamientos al involucrarlo como una pasta que modela, es decir, un material sin forma que toma la del molde que lo contiene y cuya apariencia final está condicionada por el tipo de terminación. Este trabajo presenta tres casos antagónicos entre sí y ejecutados en diferentes momentos históricos. Las obras de carácter innovador impactaron en el paisaje según valores tangibles e intangibles y, además, demostraron la versatilidad de las mezclas hechas con cemento. El primer caso es el Nuevo Teatro Argentino, ubicado en la ciudad de La Plata, construido después de la destrucción del original; el segundo es el Puente de la Mujer (Arq. Ing. Calatrava) y, finalmente, el plan de urbanización pensado por el Gobernador M. Fresco a fines de la década del 30 y ejecutado por el Arq. Ing. F. Salamone.The concrete is a construction material that evolves according to the political, social, economic and technological needs of each county or region. It integrates a large part of the constructions by their structural or aesthetic functions. Due to the various functionalities, its social impact can acquire an artistic or historical character through the monuments, sculptures or urban furniture integrating the built landscape. The concrete is an alternative that allows materializing thoughts by involving it as a modelling paste, that is, a material without its own shape that takes the shape of the mould that contains it and whose final appearance is conditioned by the formwork type. This work presents three cases, antagonistic to each other and made at a different historical moment. The concrete constructions impacted on the urban landscape according to tangible and intangible values, they also demonstrated the versatility of cementitious mixtures. First case: New Argentine Theater, located in La Plata city, built after the destruction of the original one; second, the Woman Bridge (Arch. Eng. Calatrava) and, finally, the urbanization plan thought by the M. Fresco gobernor at the ending of 30` and built by the Arch. Eng. F. Salamone.
