Resumen
La Química Farmacéutica abarca el estudio multidisciplinario de fármacos con un objetivo principal que es el de efectuar correlaciones entre estructura química y actividad biológica de cada grupo o sub-grupo de determinados fármacos. Se pretende brindar al alumno los conocimientos básicos del mecanismo de acción a nivel molecular de los fármacos y las variaciones estructurales de los mismos que hayan aumentado o ampliado farmacológica y /o disminuido su toxicidad. Se estudian además, los requisitos estructurales y funcionales indispensables para la existencia de actividad farmacológica.
