Resumen
Para observar la intersección de género y clase en el deporte femenino argentino, en este ensayo se analizarán y compararán tres disciplinas: hockey, fútbol y running. Esta elección permite tener un panorama representativo: en primer lugar, el hockey simboliza un deporte femenino tradicionalmente asociado a las clases medias y altas. El fútbol aparece como el deporte masculino más importante del país y, aunque históricamente las mujeres que lo han practicado han sido de clases populares, hoy se está viendo una expansión hacia las clases más altas. Por último, el running se puede clasificar como un deporte "neutro" en términos de género, que se presenta como abierto a todas las clases sociales, sin embargo, al indagar se ve que existen límites económicos y culturales al acceso total a la práctica. Las consideraciones del hockey se basan principalmente en representaciones mediáticas y sirven como disparadores para la comparación, mientras que el análisis del fútbol y el running parte de mi trabajo de campo etnográfico, acompañado de investigaciones socio-antropológicas recientes.
