Resumen
Las estructuras lineales sometidas a cargas de viento son susceptibles de vibrar en oscilaciones caracterizadas por periodos y frecuencias fundamentales, donde las fuerzas inerciales generadas por el movimiento pueden resultar mayores que las fuerzas aerodinámicas inducidas por el viento incidente. Cuando las fuerzas fluctuantes provocadas por el viento tienen frecuencias cercanas a las fundamentales de la estructura se produce el efecto de resonancia. En este caso, cargas fluctuantes de pequeña magnitud pueden generar oscilaciones de gran amplitud o aceleración, incluso con efectos destructivos, como se reporta el colapso estructural del puente Tacoma Narrows en 1940. Comportamientos estructural no-lineal y cargas viento aleatorias dificultan encontrar soluciones analíticas cerradas, debiendo recurrir a herramientas de análisis experimentales y de identificación de respuestas. En el presente trabajo se presenta la construcción y calibración de un modelo seccional de un tramo del tablero de puente construido en escala geométrica 1:50 para ensayo en el túnel de viento del Laboratorio de Aerodinámica de la Facultad de Ingeniería (UNNE), reproduciéndose en escala la distribución de masa, amortiguamiento y rigidez estructural, basadas en leyes de semejanza (Teoría de Modelos). Las mediciones se realizaron con una balanza dinámica construida para tal fin, con dos grados de libertad desacoplados, reproduciendo las frecuencias fundamentales de oscilación de sustentación y angular alrededor del eje longitudinal del modelo dinámico, con una escala de frecuencia de 7:1. Para identificar los modos fundamentales de vibración, se adquieren, almacenan y procesan registros temporales de aceleración en ambos GDL. Los resultados, comparados con el prototipo y la bibliografía especializada, permiten iniciar los ensayos de modelos sometidos a cargas de viento no estacionarias.
