Resumen
This dissertation investigates the relationship of the movement Hip Hop with the media and the
senses produced by your speeches in the interviews granted by some of your members. Hip
Hop had, since a beginning, a relationship disturbed with those vehicles. More and more
besieged by companies that look for if it adapts of the characteristics of your speech, that culture
faces the challenge of to move forward in your proposals and to present new discussion forms,
after 30 years of practice in the country. Maybe, the accusation character only don´t be enough
for her to do to understand and to enlarge your bases. The importance of that work resides in
the fact that, more and more, the social movements need to create an useful relationship with
the communication means, in case they want they consolidate your proposal for a wider public.
To disrespect the media as an important communication channel can be problematic, because
your role in the contemporary society. The methodology of the research is of qualitative
tendency where the senses of those cultural and social practices are looked for in interviews
published in the magazines Dear Friends and Capital Letter. The present study was elaborated
to the light of the Cultural Studies, discussing basic concepts of culture, media and speech, all
considered strategic for the understanding of this culture practice in the contemporary scenery.
