Resumen
A destiny was imposed by society on women: to be a mother, to take care of the home and to
obey the husband. Stereotype embodied in spoken and written words, images and ways of being
/ acting in the world. However, this fact is not the result of its biological condition. The
production of existence has materialized unequally not only for women but for men, if we
consider historical, social, cultural, political and economic totality. This contradiction, based
on power relations, became more present with capitalism, which, in the absence of the
patriarchal system, removed women from the private space of the home and inserted it into the
labor market, taking advantage of its historical condition to determine functions And disqualify
their work with unequal salaries, exhaustive journeys and instability.
In her historical experience, women struggled and won many rights, but the inequalities
between men and women are still latent and many indicators show this reality. Understanding
that the work has an educational principle, we reflect on the gender relations built by women
and men who participate in associated production groups (Fruits of the Earth and Amigas do
Cerrado) in traditional communities of Cáceres - Mato Grosso. Our objective was to analyze if
the constructed gender relations were less asymmetric due to the characteristics intrinsic to
traditional communities and associated production. In the light of historical-dialectical
materialism and gender studies, we conducted a qualitative research using simple observation,
workshop, semi-structured interviews (12 women and 5 men), records in the Field Book and in
photographs and videos. Using particular dimensions of History, Sociology, Anthropology and
the Marxist feminist perspective, we are mainly based on the following authors: Marx,
Thompson, Engels, Singer, Brandão, Little, Hirata, Kolontai, Lobo, Saffioti, Tiriba, among
others. We perceive that women and men guide their relationships in solidarity, in fellowship,
in dialogue, in freedom, in equality, in joint decisions, as in associated production and in the
context of traditional communities. They could conform to the historical condition, but indicate
the slow and complex construction of less asymmetric relations, where peasants present
themselves as historical subjects who live and remake their daily life. They are ladies of your
destiny. With this research, it is intended to contribute to discussions and reflections on the
condition of women facing the crises and contradictions of capitalist society and to give
visibility to the experiences of workers and workers in the countryside.
