Resumen
Climate is an example of a system that can be characterized as complex, subject to the
various natural and human variables interferences. Urban microclimates and
topoclimates need effective methodologies in locating phenomena coexisting with
multiscale approaches that demonstrate their relational character. Air temperature and
air relative humidity and wind are microclimatic variables which can be evaluated for
their qualitative characteristics of energy flows. The aim of this work was to analyze
the power spectra of the air temperature and air relative humidity data series using the
Traditional Morlet Wavelet Transform, Wavelet Crossed Transform, and Wavelet
Coherence Analysis. The daily, monthly and annual scales studied and the results
demonstrated the significant interrelationships between the variables. The wavelet
coherences found were validated by the Monte Carlo Method, scales and spectrograms
representing seasonal and daily cycle frequencies. The urban fractions presented
behavior in accordance with the seasonality of tropical climates of Cerrado, as well as,
the interference of the urban roughness. WTC, WTX and WC tools are adequate in
urban analysis, monitoring and planning, qualitatively reflecting the urban dynamics
of microenvironments.
