Enquadramentos midiáticos da nomeação para ministro de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva nas revistas Veja e Carta Capital

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the frames analysis proposed by the magazines Veja and Carta Capital upon the Civil House‟s chief minister nomination of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula), occurred in March of 2016. The guiding concept used was that of framing, since it has a theoretical perspective, we used Goffman (1986), Entman (1993), Tuchman (1978) and Traquina (1999) and methodological, with the studies of Matthes and Kohring (2008). We have chosen to use the same concept also in the analysis process, and for this we bring authors such as Gamson and Modigliani (1989), McCombs and Shaw (1968) and Entman (2001) to base ourselves on the perspectives cited. The cover page subject of the two editions of each magazine previously mentioned has been analyzed, covering the week that precedes and proceeds the analysis‟ event. In the end, we concluded that the magazines convey opposes ideas regarding Lula‟s nomination as a minister. Veja states the nomination as something that had been planned to be able to escape from an arrest warrant, differently from Carta Capital, who sees the event as the last hope to save the Dilma government.
