Relação entre os meios de pagamentos monetários: participação da moeda manual nos meios de pagamento

Abstract

This research aims to present the relationship between the means of monetary payments and the participation of manual currency in the means of payment. The objective is to point out the origin of the currency, its characteristics and how it operates in the functioning of the economy. It is concluded that the means of payment are migrating to other types of payment besides the use of currency in its usual form. In this sense, the Brazilian population is increasingly using credit and debit cards as a means of payment for transactions, especially for high value transactions. The methodology used was a bibliographic review that proposed to elaborate an overview of the progress of the theme. In a second moment, a descriptive statistical analysis is performed on the participation of the currency and other resources that make up the payment system.
