Resumen
Assistive technologies have emerged to ensure greater inclusion of people with disabilities in society. In this context, the use of a limb prosthesis can mean a drastic improvement in the quality of life of the amputee. However, the cost of a functional prosthesis for the upper limbs is extremely high, not being accessible to a large part of the Brazilian population, and the State
does not provide for all cases the best option, only the most appropriate. To solve this problem, it is possible to make a functional myoelectric prosthesis of low-cost using 3D printers and components easily found in the Brazilian market. This work presents the design and development of a low-cost myoelectric hand prosthesis for transradial amputations, defining all
the steps necessary for the manufacture. A sensing system with non-invasive silver electrodes is used to capture the myoelectric signal responsible for controlling, through a microcontroller, of the mechanical part of the prosthesis, built by a 3D printer, and servo motors responsible for
moving the fingers. In this work, a signal acquisition system was designed using low cost and easy-to-find components in the Brazilian market, which is composed of pre-amplification circuit and high-pass and low-pass filters, responsible for amplifying the signal and removing possible noise.
