The current paper is guided by the psychoanalytic listening experiences of immigrants and natives, allowing us to consider that migration, as a displacement, occurs to all subjects regardless of the border they cross, whether geographical or psychic. In that way, it is considered that the subject is, par excellence, a migrant subject and primarily finds himself/herself in exile. Based on these considerations, the subject’s structuring process is developed, covering specific points that relate to the establishment of his/her migration and exile conditions based on the bond he/she establishes with the Other. The relationship between the subject and the Other impels him/her to the encounter with what, though familiar, appears to him/her as strange, leaving him/her in the condition of finding himself/herself as a foreigner to himself/herself. In that way, the displacement is a north that organizes the subject on this bet so he/she can come, recreate, and constitute a home in the place of arrival.
