dc.description.abstractSchool meals have an important role in society, and this is not about any political overvaluation and yes, an obvious fact for a country that still has serious problems that directly reflect the families of the table and consequently the power of both adults and children. The National School Feeding Programme (PNAE) was another step toward the improvement of the service that ensures that children study quiet and not hungry. This monograph presents, therefore, the historical trajectory of school meals in Brazil ( until today) and how it is administered in Chapadão Lageado municipality of Santa Catarina.
