dc.description.abstract | Attention to mental health has been the focus of many discussions, due to impact that mental disorders and associated conditions have on society. The Family Health Strategy carries the inclusion of mental health care in the community, being the role of health professionals to build instruments of psychosocial intervention in territory. Combining the offer of group practices with the promotion of mental health in Primary Health Care can favor the establishment and maintenance of longitudinality of the care, thus strengthening the user-health professional relationship an favoring the psychosocial development of the subjects. The objective of study was to explore the meanings attributed by users and health professionals of a Family Health Strategy team from Santa Maria (RS) in relation to the actions developed in the health groups and the promotion of mental health in the territory. We used the qualitative research, including participant observation and semi-structured interview for data collection. As a result, it was observed that health groups favor the improvement of all those involved, through the valorization of different knowledge and exchange of experiences. Moreover, listening is an important device used by the team aiming at the co-responsibility and resolvability of care. Finally, the group was characterized as a psychosocial care device in territory, with the aim of expansion of social ties and allowing participants to see themselves as protagonists in their own lives. | |
